The 2010 AALL Conference in Denver brought librarians from across the country together to learn and connect. See some of the highlights of this year’s event.
It’s the last day of AALL, but first Jenny finds out why bringing librarians and vendors together is important, and asks: “What do you love about being a law librarian?“
The scores of Westlaw power users who attended the first two webinars in our WestlawNext research expert series asked lots of great questions – so great, in fact, that we decided to
share the answers right here.
Join Jenny for the second day of the American Association of Law Librarians conference to see what all the excitement is about. WestlawNext Mobile is generating lots of buzz, and a lucky librarian wins one of the iPads being given away to attendees who check out WestlawNext Mobile demos. Then, Jenny takes you to the highly anticipated Thomson Reuters Customer Appreciation party, where librarians look forward to reconnecting with colleagues, friends and Thomson Reuters staff under the stars at Invesco Field at Mile High.
Johnny and Jenny Westlaw are back and excited about the hottest ticket in town—the AALL conference in Denver, July 10–13. Jenny will be there throughout the event on the Expo floor and at the Thomson Reuters Customer Appreciation Event with cool contests, swag and some fun photo ops. She'll also be posting a daily recap video, and Johnny will be posting and tweeting the contest details for attendees to win one of 14 (yes, 14!) iPads throughout the conference. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter so you don't miss any of the action!
One of the coolest things about WestlawNext is its portability. If you’re using WestlawNext Mobile, we’d love to see where you’re using it. The coffee shop, the golf course, your favorite lunch spot – wherever you take WestlawNext, we want to be there too! We’ll be giving away an iPod touch each week for the next four weeks for photos of the unique locations you use WestlawNext Mobile. We’ll also be giving away another iPod touch for the photo that gets the most votes from readers.
Back in February, WestlawNext kicked off its preview breakfast tour in Los Angeles, and interest was so strong that we decided to do it again. This time around, a record number of legal professionals stood in line to see WestlawNext – and they couldn't have guessed how much influence they'd already had on its development, even before they set foot in the door.
